It’s also an easy way to connect even with a busy schedule,” said Elaine Elefante-Leano, Board President of the Eastlake Educational Foundation. While the content and channels will grow and evolve, EASTLAKE + is launching with curated content.Channels include:● College & Career readiness and STEAM learning hosted by Foundation Board President Elefante-Leano.● Catch up with Alumni & Friends in a segment called Titan Talk hosted by ELH staff members Vanessa Brinkman and Mariana Hughes.● Highlight the education community in a segment called Spotlight Education hosted by a combination of Foundation executives and guest hosts. The first podcast will feature Eastlake High Principal Ricardo Cooke Ed.D.The Foundation Board funded the creation of a state-of-the-art podcast studio on the campus of Eastlake High School where the EEF offices are located. “EEF is excited to bring this new podcast to the community,” said EEF Executive Director Janet Francis. Each day I come across students, teachers, and community members that are inspiring. I hear about businesses and organizations that help our schools. I meet with teachers and staff that pour out their time and talents. They support our students and help to build the workforce of tomorrow. We wanted to create something that honors the good news in our micro-community. The community is invited to give EASTLAKE + a listen and join in the conversation about the good work taking place in Chula Vista and beyond. About the Eastlake Educational Foundation: The EEF is a bridge of support between schools and the community. As a trusted non-profit 501(c)3, we work together as partners to provide resources that advance 21st Century learning so that all students can achieve their potential.
